Viticulture: Thrives well in the well irrigated sandy soils and warm climate of Trapiche in Argentina.

Varietal/Blend: Famous for quality and its use in some Bordeaux clarets.

Flavor & Character: Good color depth. Juicy, fruity and plummy flavors.

Vinification: Modern vinification techniques, introduced in recent years, into the wineries of South America are responsible for producing some excellent quality rich, earthy wines.

Style: Smooth rich and elegant.

Body, Dry/Sweet: Soft, yet robust, intense and full bodied.

Notes: Malbec is probably Argentina's best grape variety.
